Is "Goal" a 4-Letter Word for You?

Updated: Feb 23

Goal setting really used to give me the ick! I think that makes sense since most workplaces do goal setting poorly, if at all. And it's usually served with a big helping of pressure and not much support. One of the reasons New Year's resolutions don't work is the “all or nothing” (read: absolute perfection or complete failure) mentality, which puts undue pressure on leaders who are already facing so much. It’s unrealistic, unsustainable, and unsupportive. If you're extra hard on yourself, goals just set you up for another 4-letter word: Fail.

What could happen if you gave yourself permission to try something different?

Unrealistic expectations are out this year. Action plans that actually work are what's in. I’m taking the word “goal” back with a supportive approach that incorporates learning, growth, and adjustment. Not just because it feels good because it actually works!

If you'd like to "goal" with me, message me for your copy of my Goal Workbook and let's do this together!
